CAVS ROVER SCOUTS AT 2014 FOUNDERS DAY AT NYERI KABIRUINI SHOW GROUND

This being a Worlds event celebrated by all scouts all over the World, more than 10,000 scouts gathered at Nyeri to celebrate 157th birthday of the scouts Founder Lord Baden Powell the Chief scout of the World, It was of great experience to all the scouts who participated as much skills were learnt and scouts trained on various areas i.e. On environmental issues, peace, culture of different scouts etc. The following are some of the photos during the event.

University of Nairobi C.A.V.S Rover Scouts Visits University Farm on 1st February 2014 for seedling collection in preparation for this year tree planting days.

Scouts Creating a better World by planting trees to improve on the Environment. University of Nairobi CAVS Rover Scouts through the administration support made a trip to Ng'ong forest University Farm for seedling collection Mission on 1st February Where they collected 1006 seedling of various varieties in preparation of this years Tree planting which will be organised by the college Scouts. C.A.V.S 2013/2014 NEW ROVER SCOUTS

It is to my great pleasure that the number of students joining scouts movement have increased and this is very encouraging as the CAVS Rover Scouts have much in store for the new members and even the old members. This years programme is yet to be released and wish we will all enjoy being in the movement. Our first meeting this year will be held on January Monday 20th 2014 and we invite all interested members and registered members to attend. Looking forward to meeting you and please come with a friend. Best wishes and enjoy your stay in CAVS.

College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences tree planting Day at Kanyariri Vet Far oNovember 2013.

This was an event planned and organized by the College in an attempt to conserve the  Environment.The college Principal professor Agnes Mwang'ombe led the event in which 5000 seedlings were planted. Scout Patron Dr. Kironchi was also presents and participated in the event.

COLLEGE TREE PLANTING DAYS FOR THE 1ST SEMESTER. 2013 NOVEMBER


Tree planting at College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS) will take place at three Sites.The University of Nairobi Ngong field station, Kibwezi Dryland station and Kanyariri Vet farm. The total of seedlings to be planted will be 7500.
Kibwezi Dyland field station
1000 seedlings will be planted on 15th, November, 2013 along the Kibwezi river as means of conserving the Kibwezi river. Students to participate in the activity.
 
CAVS Vet Farm, Kanyariri
Along the river as boundary,students and staff will participate in the activity. 5000 seedlings will be planted on 20th, November, 2013
Ngong Forest Station
CAVS students, staff and Ngong local community will participate in the activity of planting 1000 seedlings on 23rd, November, 2013. As part of community outreach, 500 medicinal seedlings will be given to the local community.

C.A.V.s Rover Scouts Tree Nursery Project

Saturday 16th November 2013 University of Nairobi Collage of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences Rover scouts have planned to work on their tree nursery project where they are expected to transplant 3000 seedling from three nursery beds, The event is set to start from 9.00am to 12noon at field station Lamart demonstration plot all are welcome.
